Passport Name Change
You can update your passport in your new name before you get married, however it will only be valid after your ceremony from the day of your wedding. This means you can book tickets and travel in your new name.
In effect you will need to pay for a new 10 year passport. Your passport will be credited for an extra 9 months if your existing passport has at least 9 months remaining. If you are changing your passport before your wedding ceremony then select 'passport newlywed' in your company selections and the forms you need will be included in your Easy Name Change pack.
If you are changing the name in your passport after your wedding, or for any other reason you will need to fill out a different form. You can either call the passport and ask for a new form, visit a selected post office for a new form or start the application on line.
